Birmingham's own Matt Sanderlin refers to his music as "dream pop," and we'd have to agree. As if straight from out of the 80's, Venture Boi evokes Duran Duran, Depeche Mode, and other alt-rock staples.​

AL.com named Venture Boi single "Eden" as one of the top songs of the year in 2019, and the band embarked on a successful regional tour that would help build the band's fanbase.
