The Brooklyn, NY collective known as Soul Inscribed fuses hip hop, jazz, and funk into one memorable package.

Soul Inscribed is led by charismatic MC Baba Israel, and features Sean Nowell on saxophone, who graduated from Vestavia Hills High School before receiving a degree in jazz composition from the prestigious Berklee College of Music.

The band received a Fulbright grant in 2017 to perform and lead musical workshops overseas through the US Embassy. Through their arts education efforts, Soul Inscribed's reach has extended across the globe to countries as diverse as Russia, Indonesia, Mauritius, Taiwan, Croatia, Turkey, Australia, and many others.
