Arguably the most successful band from Alabama is Moon Taxi, who began as the dream of Vestavia Hills High School graduates Trevor Terndrup and Tommy Putnam.
When fellow VHHS alumnus Tyler Ritter joined them while all of them were students at Nashville's Belmont University, the band began its steady ascent to greatness.
The band's single "Two High" hit #26 on the Billboard charts and opened up new markets to the band, as Moon Taxi was now in demand in Europe as a result of the song's popularity.
A 2013 appearance on David Letterman, along with subsequent appearances on Conan, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and a slew of festival headliner appearances from Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza catapulted the band into rock royalty.
There's no band that's a better fit for Euphonious than Birmingham's own Moon Taxi, and we welcome them back as our Saturday night (June 19) headliner.
