Drew Holcomb met Ellie Bannister while attending the University of Tennessee, and in 2006, the couple got married. Ellie began playing with Drew Holcomb's band, Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors, through 2011 when the couple had their first child.

Afterward, Ellie emerged as her own solo artist, and both acts grew to be successful in parallel.

Drew Holcomb's 2015 album, Medicine, reached #47 on the Billboard 200, while his latest album, Dragons, reached #1 on Billboard's Folk Americana chart. Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors have toured with the likes of Ryan Adams, Don Henley, and Willie Nelson.

Meanwhile, Ellie Holcomb was awarded Best New Artist at the 2014 GMA Dove Awards, and her albums As Sure As The Sun and Red Sea Road have both topped the iTunes Christian chart.
